Locum Medical Registrar jobs are like rain in the UK, consistent and plentiful.
But not all locations are made equal.
If you are like a big chunk of our Med Reg locums you may have noted regions that regularly need your help, and sometimes surprisingly, they are in Australia’s most desirable spots.
Here are Blugibbon’s most in demand places to work as a Med Reg, in more ways than one:
North Coast NSW for Locum Med Reg
We could go down the usual marketing route of promoting the chance of seeing Chris Hemsworth walking his dogs in Byron Bay as the key reason to locum here.
But the North Coast NSW region, likely even more in demand due to COVID, has plenty more than just Byron.
Murwillumbah, Byron Bay, Tweed Heads, Lismore, Grafton. And they all have hospitals that need Med Reg Locums all year round.
So get ready, as you’ll need to pack your scrubs, white linen, fedora and beads, North Coast NSW here we come!
South West WA for Med Reg
Western Australians already know this as gospel, but us East Coasters have taken some time to discover this region.
Tucked away in the bottom corner of Australia, Blugibbon knows this area better than our home turf, regularly filling Locum Med Reg jobs in Bunbury, Busselton and Albany.
If you like your white beaches, whale watching and uncrowded towns, you’ve found your new home (at least for a FIFO locum).
South Coast NSW for Locum Medical Reg
Whether it be in general medicine, rehab or wards, regular locum blocks come up for medical registrars just like you.
Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Moruya not only have hospitals for you to work in, but happen to be decent places to spend days and weekends off. They are famous for snorkelling, sunbaking, biking or just getting lost.
